one long day...

This is how I feel after working a FULL day, no joking here, 6:30am-1:30am, with about 2 total hours of downtime. Crazy right?
Man, I never knew how long a day could be.
Anyhoo -- got some disturbing news on the e-mail front, and the boyfriend is leaving the country for a week or so. :( This week is going to be the pits.
On the up side. I have decided to start a crocheting group. I think it will be good for my soul. lol... not to mention, maybe the other people involved. If you're intrested, let me know!
I guess, until then.
Peace out.

Yarn Shopping

I went to Rebelle this afternoon to pick up some more yarn. They have so much wonderful stuff to chose from, I could stand around looking at yarn all day I think. That's really the only news I have apart from me being sick right now.

And... someone got shot and killed in my apartment complex this morning. I was at home sleeping, so I had no idea that anything had happened until I walked out to my car and there was police tape next to my car, and still it never dawned on me that someone had been killed.

Wow. I'm a bit freaked out about the whole thing at the moment.

Ho hum....

Nothing really new to report here tonight. I'm working myself to death I think. Sometime around 7pm I began to develop a fever, and started getting a migraine, Not much fun for me :( The hospitality business is pretty cruel when you are sickly.

I am working on a scarf which, if I take off work tomorrow morning because of this sickness I should finish up tomorrow and hopefully have some photos of!

back to work

Two new products

I posted two new products in the store this morning. The Jandie Scarf which was made with my dear friend who moved away to Chicago in mind, and The SWS Hat. The scarf turned out beautiful, it was a bit time consuming, but still it looks good! And the hat took almost no time to make, and it turned out better than I could have imagined! It's reversible, ribbed on one side and not on the other! How cool?!

I used a soy wool yarn to make the hat, and unlike wool, the soy wool feels like silk, and it almost crochets itself! Not to mention how soft it is, and how warm it will keep you! I'm super excited about finding it!

This just in...

Came across these hilarious earrings!

Found a bunch of other cool things at their etsy shop! Check it out! Nicholas and Felice

Searching for new ideas!

So, I've been searching for some new ideas for my crocheting, and I have come up with a few. I stumbled across this cute little site called The Purl Bee that gave me a few good ideas! You can see them pictured.

The little dress is adorable I think! It would be so much fun to make a cute little dress for my niece in FL. Now I just need to find something super boyish to make Little Jacob!

In other news, I finished my caplet, and I'm super stoaked about it. I went out and bought some cool vintage buttons, and sewed them onto it, and now I just have to tie in all the lose ends, and tah-dah! it's finito! I hope to get some photos uploaded onto here and my website soon!

No other real new I suppose. Just working LONG hours and spending the rest of my days curled up on the couch with a ball of yarn!

FUN! <3

Toodles for now xoxo

Day 2

I'm working on a few new items right now. One is a custom scarf in brown teal and ivory, it's soft and very cuddly! It should be great for, oh I don't know, say a winter spent in Chicago!

And the second is a caplet that is absolutley beautiful! It is pictured here, I am crocheting it in a lambs wool heather grey! Hopefully I'll be finished soon!

A day for firsts!

Today I stated trying to get this whole Etsy shop rolling! It's a work in progress, but hopefully it will all work out well!

Taking some good advice from someone I met in an etsy chat room, I started this blog. Not much to report on right now, although I did finish a scarf last night, and it turned out adorable! I was unable to get a good photo of it, although I did get some up in the etsy shop, they're not of the greatest quality! Better ones to come I hope!

For now: Check out the Etsy Shop!
